The SX-4428 Magnetorque II from TT electronics plc, Weybridge, U.K., is a Hall-based noncontact steering torque sensor for electronic power steering systems. You can program output levels and reduce the use of tight tolerances in the steering shaft. The compact, lightweight sensor draws <21 mA, resists shock and vibration, and operates from –40°C to 85°C.
