The MI3 Series IR temperature sensors from Raytek, Santa Cruz, CA, are designed for noncontact temperature monitoring in OEM applications and manufacturing processes. Sensors offer scalable 0–20 mA, 4–20 mA, 0–5 VDC, or 0–10 VDC outputs or Type J, K, R, or S thermocouple outputs. An RS-485 interface is optional. Features include an IP65 (NEMA 4) SS sensing head with a separate communication module; optical resolutions of 2:1, 10:1, or 22:1; a range of sensing head temperature ranges and spectral responses; a USB 2.0 interface for sensor set-up and configuration; programmable electronics; and response times to 20 ms.
