NDC Infrared Engineering
The Series 710e Ethernet-enabled online NIR gauges from NDC Infrared Engineering, Irwindale, CA, can be configured to measure moisture, fat, protein, and sugar content; temperature; coatweight; and coating thickness for food processing and chemical, detergent, pharmaceutical, and paper manufacturing. The 710e uses the light engine from the company's Series 710 and adds high-speed digital processing, Ethernet communications, and optional Ethernet IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP, Profibus DP, or DeviceNet protocols. The system combines the gauge, an operator workstation, and an HMI and can use up to 16 different wavelengths.
