NimbeLink Named Finalist for 15th Annual Tekne Awards

The Minnesota High Tech Association (MHTA) has named NimbeLink, a developer of cellular modems, platforms and application-specific remote monitoring systems, as a finalist in the Startup category for the 2014 Tekne Awards. The awards ceremony will be held at the Minneapolis Convention Center on Thursday, November 13th. The Tekne Awards honor Minnesota companies and individuals who have shown superior technology innovation and leadership. The Startup category recognizes an early-stage Minnesota technology company with commercialized products that demonstrate significant potential, creativity and a promising future. In less than two years, NimbeLink has developed and sells an innovative family of products with related services to companies in the region, across the U.S. and in international markets. “We are focusing on the machine-to-machine communications in the fast-growing Internet of Things,” says NimbeLink CEO Scott Schwalbe. “Developers are creating new products for the home, for medicine, for agriculture, and for industry. Those systems gather and share data, and they need to communicate with one another. Our products—Skywire™ cellular modems and TextAlert™ remote monitors - provide fast, easy and affordable access to cellular data networks and let innovators get to market and start bringing in revenue as quickly as possible. We can also help our customers streamline product development with our specialized engineering knowledge and manufacturing relationships.” Presented by the MHTA, the Tekne Awards annually recognize Minnesota’s best and brightest technology users and developers in innovation, development, education, commercialization and management.
