NBC Enlists Tek Test Eq For 2018 Olympic Games

NBC Olympics, a division of the NBC Sports Group, has selected Tektronix to provide audio and video test monitoring, as well as network monitoring, for its production of the XXIII Olympic Winter Games, which take place in PyeongChang, South Korea, from February 8 - February 25. NBC Olympics will use Tektronix WFM7200, WVR7200, WFM5200, and WVR5200 Waveform Monitors, SPG8000A Master Sync and Master Clock Reference Generators to support its coverage of the PyeongChang Games.

 

The equipment will be used to monitor and test the quality of video and audio content used in NBC Olympics' production, post production, transmission and distribution workflows in NBC facilities. For HDR/4K applications, NBC will use WFM8300 Waveform Monitors. NBC will also depend on the Tektronix Sentry products for monitoring of the transport streams involved in its production.
