The Meshlium Xtreme from Libelium, Zaragoza, Spain, is a multiprotocol router that supports WiFi, ZigBee, GPRS, Bluetooth, and GPS wireless standards as well as wireline Ethernet to connect wireless sensor networks to the Internet. The router can also store sensor data in its internal database system as well as in external Internet servers. WiFi mesh radio and antennas can work at 2.4 GHz (802.11b/g) and 5 GHz (802.11a); Meshlium clients can use the WiFi AP radio to access internally stored sensor data and as an Internet access point. The Bluetooth module can scan and store the MAC addresses of users in a database to track their routes; a GPS module enables real-time location.
