The instrument can detect out-of-specification parts and, with multiple analysis methods, can identify the location and cause of imperfections. All axes of the 500 series are controlled for waviness, straightness, and noise, whether using the spindle, column, or arm. A calibration routine allows correction or stylus motion and tip correction, allowing the measurement of angle, radius, and form with respect to the part axis.
