The ISL94202 three-to-eight cell battery pack monitor supports lithium-ion (Li-ion) and other battery chemistries used in applications such as vacuum cleaners, lawn equipment, handheld power tools, e-bikes, scooters, toys, and energy storage systems. Highly integrated, the device enables compact, two-terminal designs and accurately monitors, protects, and cell balances the battery packs. Features include eight voltage monitors supporting Li-ion CoO2, Li-ion Mn2O4, and Li-ion FePO4 battery chemistries, cell voltage level shift, automatic cell balance, a 14-bit ADC, current sense monitor, power FET control, and a temperature sensor interface, and multiple cell voltage protection options up to 4.8V, programmable detection/recovery times for overvoltage, under-voltage, over-current, and short-circuit conditions.
