DAYTON, Ohio /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MTC Technologies, Inc. (MTC), and subsidiaries, a provider of engineering, information technology, and other technical solutions to the Department of Defense and national security agencies, announced that its Land Forces Group, Acquisition Division, recently won over $5.3 million in task orders. The division provides research, development, engineering, acquisition, program management, and logistics planning services to multiple Army and Marine Corps organizations.
Task orders issued under the Program Executive Office Combat Support and Combat Service Support omnibus support contract, managed in Warren, Mich., include new and follow-on work. Under a 4th option year award, MTC will provide the Army with a full range of programmatic solutions for development and use of multiple petroleum and water purification transportation, storage, and distribution systems essential to deployed forces and homeland security disaster relief efforts. Under new work, MTC will augment U.S. Marine Corps engineers and managers to upgrade light armored vehicles and provide solutions to integrate sensors on the vehicles to collect real-time data on components that will streamline maintenance activities. The MTC Division will also provide assistance to Army heavy tactical vehicles by digitizing over 500,000 legacy file documents to develop an electronic filing system.
Other awards were made under the Picatinny Commander's Support Contract managed in Picatinny, NJ. Under one, MTC will continue to provide program and logistics liaison for large-caliber main-gun ammunition for the Army's Stryker vehicle. Under a new task order, the MTC Division will be responsible for providing homeland security project development and coordination for development of state-of-the-art detection and response systems.
