The DMC-41x3 motion controller series from Galil Motion Control Inc., Rocklin, CA, includes Ethernet 100Base-T connectivity, a USB 2.0 port, high-speed performance, larger program memory, analog inputs, and optically isolated I/O. The controller operates stand-alone or interfaces to a PC via Ethernet or USB. An auxiliary RS-232 port is provided. The controller is available in 1–8 axis formats, with each axis user-configurable for stepper or servo motor operation, and can be connected with external drives of any power range or with the company's 500 W/axis servo drives or 60 V, 3 A microstepping drives. Standard I/O includes 16 optically isolated I/O (1–4 axis models) and 32 I/O (5–8 axis models), 8 analog inputs, and forward and reverse limits and a home input for each axis.
