A re-designed PT-6 carbon potentiometer now includes detents that provide tactile feedback on each position setting and selection. The detents include up to 10 equally-spaced positions and a spring feature in the rotary action. This creates a resistance to rotation at predetermined angles that gives the user a 'click' action.
