The MEMS-based VC accelerometer chips and modules integrate voltage regulation and an internal reference to minimize temperature and voltage changes while eliminating additional external power regulation requirements. Regulated manufacturing processes ensure that each sensor is virtually identical, allowing users to swap out parts in the same g range with few to no testing modifications, saving time and resources. This also provides a plug-and-play solution for almost any application. Standard MEMS variable capacitive accelerometers are available in ranges from 2g to greater than 20,000g. Within their standard range from 2g to 400g, most MEMS accelerometers can continue to operate after sustained exposures up to 10,000g and limited exposure to temperatures above +200°C.
