Heralded as the world's smallest MEMS-based magnetic reed sensor, the RedRock RR100 resides in a package measuring1.11 mm3. The component targets medical applications including portable insulin pumps, capsule endoscopes, hearing aids, insulin pens, and wearables. It offers directional magnetic sensitivity, ESD resistance, a robust wafer level package, and zero power consumption. Other features include a closure sensitivity ranging from 10 to 25 milliTesla and operation from up to 20 mm away using a small NdFeB magnet. Price for the RR100 is $19.95 each.
