ASM Sensors Inc., Elmhurst, IL, offers the POSITILT PTAM2 inclinometer that has ranges from ±5° to ±180° (single axis) and ±5° to ±60° (dual axis). The MEMS-based industrial grade sensor has an IP67/69K rated, 36 mm dia. metal housing, provides 0.05° resolution (typ.), and provides either 0.5–10 V, 4–20 mA, voltage sine(x), or CANopen outputs. Limit switch outputs are also available. The output signal response time is available from 0.1–2 s in 0.1 s increments. Measurement ranges are from ±5° to ±180° in 5° increments. Applications include factory automation machines, robotics, mobile cranes, drawbridges, adjustable platforms, and off-highway construction equipment.
