MATHEW DIRJISH APPOINTED EXECUTIVE EDITOR OF SENSORS MAGAZINE

NEWTON, MA, NOVEMBER 19, 2013 — Questex Media Group LLC is proud to announce that Mathew Dirjish has been appointed as the new Executive Editor of Sensors magazine. Sensors is the authority and technical resource for sensing technologies, applications, and networks. It provides focused news in the markets where sensor and related technologies are applied as part of a company or organization's business and competitive strategy. Mat will oversee the editorial content of sensor industry news and content including contracts, awards, collaborations, acquisitions, and highlights of new measurement & sensor technology.

Mat Dirjish first entered the tech journalism field in 1997 as an associate editor covering the test & measurement, computer boards, and embedded-systems markets for Electronic Products magazine. Moving into wider and more diverse markets, he became the tech products editor for EE Product News, from 1999 to 2004, followed by an eight-year stint as the components editor for Electronic Design magazine. Fascinated with all things electronic, Mat initially comes from a very hands-on design, modification, and service background in high-end audio/video. He is deeply interested in how electronic components interact with each other and how to deploy them effectively in applications other than the mainstream.

“We are thrilled for Mat to join the Sensors team, his experience and passion for the industry will be a true asset to the content of the magazine and the awards program during the Sensors Expo,” said Wendy Loew, Group Show Director. “Plans are already underway to continue the growth of the magazine and Expo in 2014 with new and cutting-edge programming, and the latest technologies to be featured.”
