Managed Switches from Contemporary Controls

EISX_M, EICP_M, and EISB_M managed switches from Contemporary Control Systems, Inc., Downers Grove, IL, are now available with rate limiting, port locking, and overlapping VLAN features for use with interconnecting office and factory networks. Rate limiting lets you select a max. traffic level to keep normal communications operating even if the office network has a catastrophic problem. Port locking limits what devices can communicate through a specific port on the switch. Overlapping VLANs enables a few devices to be shared between office and control networks.
