The F302 managed Ethernet switch from MEN Micro Inc., Ambler, PA, provides 8 Fast Ethernet channels on the front via RJ-45, M12, or D-Sub connectors while an optional channel is accessible through the rear J1 connector. The 3U CompactPCI version features a special service interface that lets you configure the Ethernet channels individually via a hardware key, a Telnet command line interface, or SNMP, without opening the system itself. The switch complies with the EN 50155 railway standard and offers an operating temperature of –40°C to 85°C as well as soldered components to resist the effects of shock and vibration. Applications include transportation and other mobile environments.
