Suited for use in a variety of OEM applications, the POSIROT PRAS21 Series of noncontact magnetic rotary position sensors from ASM Sensors Inc., Elmhurst, IL, uses an external position magnet to provide an absolute output signal over a 0°–360° measurement range. Output is an analog 0.5–4.5 V signal. Features include an IP60-rated housing <0.25 in. high, fully potted circuit board, resolution of 0.03% F.S. for 60°–360° and 0.1% F.S. for 15°–45°, repeatability of ±0.03% for 60°–360° and ±0.1% for 15°–45°, and ±0.5% F.S. linearity.
