The POSIROT PRAS3 from ASM Sensors Inc., Elmhurst, IL, is a magnetic angular position sensor in a 1.4 in. dia. housing. The sensor uses an internal contact-free permanent magnet to determine angular position. Measurement ranges are available in 15° increments from 0°–15° up to 0°–360°. Features include a servo flange mounting; SS housing rated up to IP69K; 2 extra strong ball bearings to handle axial and radial loads along the 10 mm shaft; 0.5–4.5 V, 0.5–10 V, or 4–20 mA analog outputs; ±0.03% F.S. resolution and repeatability; and ±0.3% F.S. linearity. All models are available with output signal increasing either clockwise or counterclockwise.
