MachineTalker has chosen products from DataRemote Inc. to reliably track location and to move information from Talker communities to places where the data can be used and acted upon.
The new DataRemote cellular modem with integrated GPS will connect to wireless mesh networks of Talkers that service environmental sensors or that monitor cargo in transit. The modem will provide an inexpensive link for remote access to Talkers that monitor security, track cargo, collect data, or audit energy usage.
While MachineTalker applications currently rely on the Internet or custom data uplinks provided by military and industrial networks, the DataRemote unit provides a commercial cellular link to Talkers with sensors located on trucks or within industrial operations, such as oil refineries and factories.
