The embeddable APMG-Q551 and external APXG-Q5420 from B&B Electronics Mfg. Co. Inc., Ottawa, IL, are 802.11b/g WiFi access points for M2M equipment. The embeddable APMG-Q551 lets OEMs WiFi-enable their products to act as M2M wireless communication hubs or to tie into existing wireless networks. The external Ethernet APXG-Q5420 access point has an Ethernet port, and two serial ports that support RS-232/422/485 and can be used simultaneously, and it can be configured as a router or network bridge. As an access point, the APXG can handle up to 8 simultaneous client connection; acting as a bridge it ties WiFi devices into Ethernet networks while simultaneously acting as a serial device server.
