Quatech Inc., Hudson, OH, offers the WLNG-xx-DP551 series of Airborne 802.11 embedded wireless device servers and Ethernet bridge modules for OEMs to add WiFi to devices for M2M applications. The single-board compact modules contain all necessary RF technology, networking stacks, and advanced security features; you can also choose to incorporate both transmit and receive diversity by using the two U.FL antenna connectors. Airborne modules operate over temperatures from –40°C to 85°C. Features include SpeedLink roaming and PowerSave firmware for connection reliability and reduced power consumption, respectively; support for both serial to WiFi and Ethernet to WiFi communications; and software-configurable serial/UART, SPI, Ethernet, GPIO, and 802.11 interfaces for the wireless device server modules.
