Long-Range LiDAR Sensors Guide UAVs

Cepton Technologies launches its SORA family of scanning LiDAR sensors, built to deliver long-range, high-resolution imaging for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). They feature a 400-Hz frame rate, enabling drones to fly faster while maintaining high point cloud density. With a 550-gram payload, the SORA-P60L prolongs UAV flight time allowing more ground to be covered in a single trip.

The company’s unique Micro-MotionTechnology (MMT) always faces all lasers downward, providing a uniform point cloud that is said to be over four times denser than comparable devices.
