The DI-1000 from Loadstar Sensors Inc., Fremont, CA, is designed to work with conventional resistive load cells, converting a millivolt output into a PC-friendly digital USB output. You plug the load cell into the DI-1000 and plug the other end into a PC. Features include compatibility with any PC running Windows XP or Vista, calibrated output in ASCII format, ability to view loads on demand or in streaming mode, and a command set for software integration. Bluetooth or ZigBee wireless communications are optional, as is LoadVUE software for logging and data plotting.
