The AST45PT from American Sensor Technologies Inc., Mt. Olive, NJ, is a submersible liquid level sensor for hydrostatic level and temperature measurement. Available in ranges from 1 psi to 100 psi, 5 temperature ranges, and with 8 cable length options, the sensor provides 2 independent 4–20 mA outputs for level and temperature. A removable nose cone protects the sensing element from damage during submersion but can be removed to access the 1/4 in. NPT male pressure port. A 1/2 in. NPT conduit fitting at the electrical connection lets you install conduit over the cable to provide rigidity in turbulent tanks or as protection from sharp objects.
