The V-551 is the latest member of the PIMag family of precision positioning stages with magnetic direct drives. The V-551 is a motorized linear translation stage that comes with an integrated absolute-measuring, 2-nm resolution encoder. High velocity up to 500 mm/s is provided via an ironless magnetic linear motor. Precision crossed roller bearings with anti-creep cage assist enable a 1-µm straightness and flatness per 100 mm.
