The Orbit LT laser triangulation system from Solartron Metrology, a unit of AMETEK Inc., Bognor Regis, U.K., and Gastonia, NC, is a noncontact linear measurement sensor with a range of available outputs, designed to support QC in high-volume precision manufacturing applications that require verification of every part. The sensors provide 15 mm range, 45 mm offset, and 0.1% F.S. accuracy. The sensors can be connected with other Solartron probes via the company's Orbit network or the Orbit ACS.
