Solartron Metrology, Bognor Regis, UK, introduces the G-Type position and linear displacement sensor. G-Type models feature a linear variable differential transducer (LVDT) for a range of applications. It is frictionless and has a durable SS body. There are four measuring ranges: 2, 5, 10, or 20 mm and it is compatible with PLCs and other data collection systems. The G-Type sensor features direct analog output in 3 signals, in voltage (0–10 V or +/-10 V, or current (4–20mA). This output is conducted by a 2 m PU cable that contains a foil screen layer and is resistant to scuffs and scratches. The G-Type sensor’s AX probe has tight tolerance and cartridge-type bearing with chrome/carbon balls to ensure non-repeat linear measurements.
