Level Sensor Boosts Measurement Accuracy

The latest Blackwater Level Sensor promises improved accuracy for solids level measurement and is available in sizes from 250 mm to 2,000 mm. The sensor satisfies increased regulatory requirements for both black and gray water storage and processing and is suitable for use in a variety of industrial applications such as waste water treatment facilities, pumping and lift station remote monitoring, and plant processing.  It uses a simple probe and no moving parts to provide accurate solid waste level measurement. This design eliminates the problem of solid waste build up on sensors that cause frozen outputs. The probe's FEP (Fluorinated ethylene propylene) surface acts as the sensing surface.  Using proprietary capacitive technology, the sensor can differentiate between solid waste coming into contact with the probe's exterior surface versus air (unfilled space at the top of the tank). The difference between the two is used to calculate true level for optimum accuracy.
