The 3DLevelScanner from APM Automation Solutions Ltd., Tel Aviv, Israel, distributed in the U.S. by BinMaster Level Controls, Lincoln, NE, creates a visual map of the material surface in storage and process bins. Using noncontact, dust-penetrating technology, the device measures the material surface at multiple points to accurately calculate the volume and mass, even where the material surface is highly irregular. The scanner works in small bins to bins up to 200 ft. high and 150 ft. wide. It can also measure materials in pits, open bins, bulk storage rooms, and warehouses.
