The FLS-C laser distance sensor from Dimetix AG, Herisau, Switzerland, measures absolute distances up to 500 m noncontact with accuracy of ±1 m. Measurement values are updated at 200 Hz frequency. The sensor is used as a value encoder in small parts or pallet warehouses; for positioning and controlled synchronization for crane systems; to measure stack heights and fill levels; and for assembly checks for object monitoring applications. The sensors can be used for ambient temperatures down to -40°C.
