Laser Diode Sheds More Light On Machine Vision Apps

Designed for the area of machine vision, IMM Photonics’ laser diode module series ilumVISION features a homogeneous line that can be applied wherever the highest possible level of even illumination is called for. Available with the options “thin line” or “high focus depth”, ilumVISION is effective for the resolution of especially small structures or large working areas.

An innovative driver design allows for a high modulation frequency of up to 1 MHz with short rise and fall times. Particularly notable are the switch-on and switch-off delays which remain constant over the entire modulation area. Standard versions of the module have a focal range of between 300 mm and 1,000 mm. At 520 nm, an output capacity up to 50 mW is offered, and 130 mW at 660 nm. The wide range input allows for operations between 4.5 V and 30 V. Aperture angles between 15° and 90° are available.
