Krohne and Atlantec to Develop Intelligent Soft Sensor Concepts

Krohne and Atlantec Enterprise Solutions have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at the joint development and marketing of soft sensor concepts. The two partners present an online-inline viscosity measurement system with UFM 3030 ultrasonic flowmeters, as well as a virtual process analyzer that can replace nearly all laboratory analyses.

The two companies plan to develop and jointly market intelligent soft sensor concepts to enable the online detection of quantities that up to now have been difficult to detect through metrology. To do this, Krohne and Atlantec will combine their specialized know-how in the areas of metrology, signal analysis, and signal conditioning.

Atlantec's AI methods for the targeted compression (exformation) and evaluation of process information obtained from recorded process and lab data are used in data-driven stationary modeling, statistical analysis, and process data mining.

With Atlantec's artificial intelligence technology, Krohne will expand its own products and services into areas that push the limits of technological feasibility.
