Japanese Government Develops Disaster Assessment System

According to the blog RFID in Japan, the Japanese Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications has begun developing a system that aims to gather detailed information about a disaster area by sprinkling sensor-equipped RFID tags from the sky.
