WAGO Corp., Germantown, WI, offers a J1939 Interface function block that increases large engine efficiency by tracking and reacting to engine performance parameters via the company's WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM. Compatible with SAE's J1939 protocol, the interface can monitor multiple engines on a single CAN network and directs the I/O system components to run auxiliary devices, such as cooling fans, or execute alarm, stop/start, and speed control functions. You can transfer engine data to a local HMI or SCADA system via Fieldbus. The interface lets WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM programmable controllers and IPCs monitor and optimize engine operation on large vessels, generator sets, or within plants.
