Calex Electronics Ltd., Leighton Buzzard, U.K., offers PyroCouple and PyroBus noncontact temperature sensors for industrial applications. PyroCouple compact IR temperature sensors have a temperature measurement range of –20°C to 500°C, fixed emissivity of 0.95, and provide either 2-wire 4–20 mA or 4-wire 0–50 mV/ Type J, K, or T thermocouple outputs. The 4-wire units also provide an internal sensor temperature. PyroBus Series sensors have a measurement range from –20°C to 500°C; configurable emissivity and signal processing; max., min., avg., and instantaneous readings; peak or valley hold; reflected energy compensation; and a built-in RS-485 Modbus RTU interface that lets you install up to 32 sensors on a single multidrop network. Both families have a 240 ms response time.
