The EIB 192 External Interface Box from Heidenhain Corp., Schaumburg, IL, changes 1 Vpp encoder signals to an EnDat 2.2 bidirectional digital interface, allowing machine builders to standardize on one encoder interface while using both incremental and absolute measurement systems in their machinery. The box converts sine/cosine signals to EnDat 2.2, allowing you to use incremental encoders with 1 Vpp signals as part of an absolute system.
