Reston, VA (from release) - Cernium Corp., the leading provider of advanced video analytics, announced that PNC Park in Pittsburgh, site of the 2006 Major League Baseball All-Star Game on July 11, used Cernium's state-of-the-art intelligent video analytics system to monitor security video for events surrounding the All-Star Game. InterTECH Security LLC, PNC Park's security consultant, selected the Cernium Perceptrak system, which alerts security personnel when it detects suspicious behaviors, such as fallen persons, abandoned or removed objects, facility intrusions, and lurking or erratically-behaving individuals.

InterTECH and PNC Park join a wide range of Cernium customers that are adopting video analytics, including the City of San Diego, Boeing Corporation, The Johns Hopkins University, the City of Yonkers Municipal Parking Authority and George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate. InterTECH says that Perceptrak is the only advanced video analytics solution able to simultaneously analyze security video for any combination of 18 distinct behaviors, from 16 cameras, in real time, on a single video processor.
