MG Series electromagnetic flowmeters from FlowMeters.com, Hazel Park, MI, are for monitoring conductive liquids in 1–8 in. pipe sizes. Suited for dirty water in large pipes and corrosive environments with particulates in the fluid, the meters are insensitive to viscosity and tolerate pulsating flows. The current-sinking pulse output is pulse proportional to flow rate. Flow measurement range is from 0.54 gpm (for 1 in. pipe) to 3120 gpm (8 in. pipe); meters extend into the pipe and measure the fluid's velocity at the chosen insertion depth.
