The VN-200 from VectorNav Technologies LLC, Dallas, TX, is a high-accuracy GPS-aided inertial navigation system (GPS/INS) on a surface-mount chip the size of a postage stamp. The device provides a coupled position, velocity, and attitude measurement system and its onboard microprocessor runs an aerospace-grade Kalman filter algorithm at up to 200 Hz. Accuracies are better than 0.25° (pitch and roll) and 0.75° (heading). Applications include aerospace, automotive, marine, entertainment, military, and robotics.
