The 780A from Wilcoxon Research, Germantown, MD, is a general-purpose 100 mV/g vibration sensor with a ±5% tolerance and a 3 dB frequency response from 0.4 Hz to 14 kHz. Features include an operating temperature range from –50°C to 120°C, ESD protection, EMI/RFI shielding, hermetic sealing, and a standard 2-pin MIL-C-5015 connector. Applications include vibration monitoring of most industrial rotating equipment for the pulp and paper, nuclear power, power generation, petrochemical, oil and gas, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, railway, steelmaking, and wastewater treatment industries.
