FP Series inductive proximity sensors from Automation Systems Interconnect (ASI) Inc., Mechanicsburg, PA, are suited for use in food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and automation applications. The sensors offer sensing distances of 3–15 mm and are available in M12, M18, and M30 formats in pnp or npn. The devices operate in temperatures up to 180°C, have FDA-approved Viton seals, 316L SS bodies, and carry an IP69K rating. Sensors resist chemical attacks from sanitizers, surfactants, and cleaning agents, including diluted bases and acids, and have high vibration resistance, allowing them to be used on moving equipment.
