MicroStrain Inc., Williston, VT, offers versions of its Agile-Link wireless sensor nodes capable of real-time streaming at up to 4 kHz. Nodes that support high-speed streaming are the G-Link triaxial accelerometer node, V-Link voltage node, and SG-Link strain-gauge node. Features include simultaneous streaming of real-time high-speed data from up to 16 nodes; 2.4 GHz DSSS operation using the IEEE 802.15.4 radio standard; 70 m LOS range with standard antennas or 300 m LOS with high-gain antennas; data logging sample rates up to 2048 Hz; and 2 MB Flash memory to store up to 1,000,000 data points. Applications include condition-based monitoring; impact and crash testing; measuring torque, strain, and load on rotating equipment; vibration monitoring; and modal analysis.
