HT-SAAE to Launch "Milky Way" Twin Star in Tokyo

TOKYO -- Shanghai Aerospace Automobile Electromechanical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "HT-SAAE") will bring to market its 2016 product -- "Milky Way" Twin Star bifacial module. "Milky Way" Twin Star is made from state-of-the-art N-PERT solar cells, and will be launched during Japan's PV EXPO 2016 tradeshow.

Based on the 2015 annual blockbuster product "Milky Way" -- bifacial N-type PERT Mono-crystalline PV modules, HT-SAAE made innovating improvements in product design and technologies to produce "Milky Way" Twin Star. "Milky Way" Twin Star has the dual advantages of higher efficiency and higher return. Since debuting in early 2015, the "Milky Way" module has received extensive attention from all over the world. High-end clients from international markets like Japan, Europe and America have shown great interest in it. In addition to earning great reviews from clients, HT-SAAE also won the "2015 PR Newswire Best Overseas Communications Award" for its systematically accurate and excellently effective brand communications about its "Milky Way" modules.

HT-SAAE named the new generation of "Milky Way" bifacial modules after the smartest and most good-at-thinking constellation -- "Twin Star." HT-SAAE compares the twin-cell of the new product as the twins of Gemini, who enlighten each other. "Milky Way" Twin Star inherits the outstanding characteristics of "Milky Way" PV modules such as:

•Bifacial power production
•Zero initial light induced degradation
•Potential induced degradation (PID) resistant
•Excellent weak light response

Through innovating the technologies and production procedures, HT-SAAE divides one N-type bifacial cell into two to make "1+1 = more than you think." "Milky Way" Twin Star reduces system thermal resistance and in turn has higher power output. Furthermore, "Milky Way" Twin Star is compatible with a 1,500V PV system which can bring clients higher returns. "Milky Way" Twin Star fulfills the requirements for a 1,500V PV system and possibly reduces BOS up to 10%. One of the reasons for this is because "Milky Way" Twin Star has a 20W higher power output compared to the first generation of "Milky Way" PV modules, and even reaches record high of 305W in mass production (based on 60 pieces of 156mm*156mm). Besides higher output power, "Milky Way" Twin Star also has better reliability compared to conventional modules, wherein HT-SAAE can provide it with a longer power output warranty of 30 years.

In 2016, "Milky Way" Twin Star is expected to contribute more surprises to the industry and the market.
