Columbia Research Laboratories Inc., Woodlyn, PA, offers the Model SA-120RHT force balance accelerometer capable of operating at temperatures up to 200°C under extreme shock and vibration conditions. The device was designed as a measurement while drilling (MWD) sensor for use in downhole well service applications. The self-contained sensor provides a high-level, low-impedance output, weighs 1.5 oz. max, is 1.0 in. dia. by 0.73 in. high, has an operating temperature range of –40°C to 200°C, and survives shocks of 500 G, 0.5 ms and vibrations to 25 Grms, 0.5 in. displacement D.A. (2–2000 Hz).
