High-Speed Digitizer from Agilent Technologies

High-Speed Digitizer from Agilent Technologies
Agilent Technologies Inc.

The U1084A Acquiris from Agilent Technologies Inc., Santa Clara, CA, is a high-speed PCI Express DA card with an onboard FPGA for real-time data processing. The dual-channel, 4-lane, 8-bit PCIe digitizer has up to 4 GSps sampling rates, 1.5 GHz bandwidth, a 15 ps trigger time interpolator, and data throughput at up to 650 MBps. Firmware options let the card's onboard FPGA perform specific post-processing tasks; current firmware provides on-the-fly signal averaging to reduce random noise effects; a noise suppression algorithm can be used to reduce synchronous noise. Applications include medical imaging, scientific instrumentation, NDT, and validation of mixed-signal semiconductors in automated test equipment.
