The 8-channel RTD APAX-5013 and 12-channel high-speed APAX-5017H analog input modules from Advantech Corp., Industrial Automation Group, Cincinnati, OH, are part of the company's APAX family of I/O modules for use in factory production, DA, environmental monitoring, and facility monitoring. The APAX-5013 RTD device for temperature DA features high accuracy to identify temperature information and to detect wire burn-out through highest and lowest default parameter settings. The 12-channel APAX-5017H offers 1000 sps/channel and configurable input types, including 0–500 mV, ±10 V, 0–10 V, 0–20 mA, and 4–20 mA. Both modules can communicate and obtain power through APAX backplanes to build local and remote I/O systems.
