The Wilcoxon Research Model 786-500-D2 accelerometer from Meggitt Sensing Systems, Germantown, MD, is suited for condition monitoring of rotating equipment and equipment in hazardous areas. Features include a 500 mV/g sensing element, 5% sensitivity tolerance, ±3 dB frequency response range from 0.2–14,000 Hz, 10 g F.S. acceleration range, and 250 µg broadband noise floor. The sensor is suited for applications that require both ends of the machine spectrum to be monitored simultaneously. The sensor is certified to Class I Div.2/Zone 2 and is CSA certified.
