Based on the company's PLC on a Chip technology, the HEC-1000-E-R from Divelbiss Corp., Fredericktown, OH, is a harsh environment controller with an extended –40°C to 80°C temperature range. Features include 8–32 VDC input power; six 8–32 VDC inputs; two 40 kHz high-speed counters; two 10-bit 0–20 mA analog inputs; 6 digital/PWM outputs rated to 3 A with automatic overcurrent safety and programmable status monitoring; and a sealed, water-tight enclosure with pluggable connectors submersible to 3 ft. Communication is via the CAN port or using an optional second serial port. Applications include control for engine-driven pumps and compressors, mobile asset management and tracking, and intelligent mining or oil field equipment.
