Spectronics’ EK-3000 EagleEye UV-A/white-light LED inspection kit is suitable for a number of apps, particularly magnetic-particle inspection. According to the company, it helps nondestructive-testing (NDT) inspectors easily detect fluorescent flaws in ferrous materials. The portable kit includes a battery-operated EagleEye inspection lamp, two ultra-high intensity UV-A (365-nm) LEDs for NDT inspection, and a three-LED white light assembly for visible illumination in dark work areas. The kit also includes a lanyard, two replacement splash guards with integral particulate filters, three spare batteries, a battery charging cradle with ac and dc cord sets, and UV-absorbing spectacles. All components come in a soft carrying case.
